 Diego y Frida: A Smile Halfway Through the Journey

This exhibition takes an intimate look at the life and relationship between legendary artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, as seen through the lens of some of the most notable photographers of their time, including Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Guillermo Kahlo, Leo Matiz, Nickolas Muray, Edward Weston, and Guillermo Zamora. A selection of works from local artists inspired by Kahlo and Rivera will complement the photographs, bringing the modern day influence of these artistic legends to life! Wisconsin Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Television and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum are pleased to share Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name - a traveling exhibit that features a photo for each of the 1,161 Wisconsinites officially listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit also includes additional photos for names that are listed on The Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial , Neillsville, WI. Wisconsin Remembers is a tribute to lost life and lost potential. Monday, September 17, 2018 through Monday, May 20, 2019. 7 pm. Pump House Paint & Pour workshops are La Crosse's original social painting experience. Attendees enjoy wine, conversation and music while a professional artist guides them step-by-step through a painting.  Third Annual Twin Triathlon
Saturday, August 26, 2017 through Tuesday, August 26, 2081. 8 am - 12 pm. 8 am registration; 9 am start; Noon Awards! Fun event is unique in the Northwoods-8K paddle on North Twin Lake, followed by a 16K bike ride, then a 5K run. Individual ($35), a family or a team ($90). Do one leg, or all three!
