Thursday, May 11, 2017 through Thursday, October 19, 2017. 6 pm - 7:30 pm. A program on Thursday evenings for active military personnel, veterans and their families. Participants do not need to have any horse knowledge; lessons are tailored to the needs and interests of the veterans. HPHC believes veterans have more than paid their dues with their service and offers this program free of charge. Individual private lessons are available at a discounted rate of $25 per hour. free.  Horse Power Healing Center -- Horses for Hope
Monday, May 8, 2017 through Friday, October 20, 2017. A program for children and adults who have been given a terminal medical diagnosis. The participants in "Horses for Hope" may visit the farm and meet the horses. If they are able, they can learn to ride a horse. There are no fees charged for the participants in this program. If an individual is unable to come to the farm, HPHC will bring the horses to visit hospitals, hospice centers and nursing homes. free.  Variations on a Theme: Vessels from RAM's Collection
Sunday, July 16, 2017 through Monday, January 22, 2018. The second in a series of exhibitions surveying the landscape of craft through theory, design, and history. The 50 plus examples on display in this exhibition-made of clay, glass, and metal and pulled from RAM's extensive holdings of contemporary craft-underscore the idea that there are many ways to interpret or investigate what a vessel could or should look like.  Karen Johnson Boyd: From the Vault
Friday, August 4, 2017 through Friday, July 27, 2018. Karen Johnson Boyd was an advocate for and collector of art who had a strong affinity for contemporary American craft. This Windows on 5th installation pays homage to her role in establishing RAM's craft collection by featuring large-scale ceramic work that she donated to the museum over the years. With works presented as if being pulled from crates or out of storage, this exhibition offers a playful take on building a collection, honoring a donor, and managing works of art.
